Orphanage for Girls : PRERANA
At present the orphanage houses 20 girls. These children are often rescued under deplorable conditions. Most of them have either lost their parents or have been abandoned or have lost their fathers and their mother is unable to take care of them making them vulnerable to various social evils.
Once the child finds herself in the orphanage, as a first step we try to provide both physical and emotional healing for the child so that she can be integrated within the regular routine of the orphanage and can lead a normal life. All girls in the orphanage are enrolled with the neighbouring Govt. schools. They are provided academic assistance in the form of tuition classes. Apart from academics they are also encouraged to pursue extracurricular activities in the form of music, art, stitching and other extracurricular classes mapped to their area of interest. We pay special attention to the nutritional needs of the children to ensure their optimal growth and development.
*During the Pandemic times, online tutoring classes were set up for the children to help them continue their academics.
